What are the safety rules and regulation while doing electrical works?

Image
Safety is the condition of being protected from or unlikely to cause danger, risk or injury. And safety rules are those essential tasks to do before doing some electrical or any other works. Some safety rules while doing electrical works are; 1. Electrical work should always be done certified electrician or who had relatable knowledge. 2.  Before doing electrical work the main line must be cut off. 3.   While working always avoid contact with naked wire. 4.   Always use tools instead of using hand or teeth while stripping wire. 5.  Always wear rubber shoes and gloves if possible. 6.  Ensure that the equipment you are repairing is dry because wet equipment can leak electricity which is dangerous. 7.   Always wear safety belt while you are working in high heights. 8.   Make sure that the capacitor charges are dumped while working in capacitor based equipment. 9.   Highly flammable matter is prohibited near electrical equipment. 10.  Make...

What do you mean by electrical circuit?

Electrical circuit is the path for transmission of the electrical current. It consist of all the appliances used in whole circuit which includes device that gives electrical energy like as generator and battery and also that which consume energy    like as resistance and load also with the transmission lines. There are two basic laws which plays role in electrical circuit ·        Ohms law ·        Kirchhoff’s law      There are two types of electrical circuit: Series circuit: It is the circuit in which resistances and sources of power are arranged in a chain, so that current has only one path to take. In series circuit current remains same but voltage drops takes place in resistance also we can say, has variable voltage in each load. Parallel circuit: It is the circuit in which resistances and source of power are connected in parallel. In this circuit voltage remains same in each loads but the cu...

Advantage of Electrical energy in comparison with other form of energy

Electricity is most common form of energy used in houses and industry. And some reasons for its popularity are listed below: - It is known as "Clean and Green energy”. ·  Clean because it doesn’t have any byproducts and green because it doesn't cause any kind of pollution neither any of the resources of earth are exhausted when we use this form of energy. ·     It can be easily converted to other form of energy. ·     It is much cheaper than other forms of energy. ·     It can be easily transmitted to various locations very conveniently and efficiently. ·     This form of energy can be controlled and monitored easily. Electrical Parameters and electrical units

  There are the various electrical parameters which have theirs own unit of measurement and symbols. Here this table shows important electrical parameters unit based on the intern ational system, which is also known as SI system.   Electrical Parameters Measuring unit Symbol Description Voltage Volt V or E V = I × R Current Ampere I or i I = V ÷ R Power Watts W P = V × I   or  I2 × R Resistance Ohm R or Ω R = V ÷ I Conductance Siemen G or ℧ G = 1 ÷ R Capacitance Farad C C = Q ÷ V Charge Coulomb Q Q = C × V Inductance Henry L or H V L = -L(di/dt) Impedance Ohm Z Z 2 = R2 + X2 Frequency Hertz Hz ƒ = 1 ÷ T   Read more about 1.   What do you mean by Electricity? 2.   How hydroelectricity is generated? 3.  What do you mean by electrical circuit? ...

Which is dangerous volt or ampere?

Image
Volt and ampere are the two measures of electrical energy, where volt is unit of voltage and ampere is unit of current. Most people think that the voltage is dangerous but in fact current is the one which is very dangerous. Effect of ampere on electric shock  Here are the different amount of ampere affect the human body in different ways,      1-10mA : Little or no electrical shock is felt.      10-  20mA : Painful shock,  still muscle is in control.      20-75mA : Serious shock and muscles get out of control which leads victim unable to get out                        of wire or source.      75-100 mA : Ventricular fibrillation of the heart can occur.      100-200 mA : Ventricular fibrillation occurs,  higher probability of resulting death. Over 200 mA : Severe burns and contraction on muscles occur. Damage of internal organ ...
